Project Description: This project consisted of a 6.45-mile section of Ky. Hwy. 92 beginning at Cornbread Branch and ending at the ramp termini on the West side of Interstate 75, including alignment and grade studies and Phase II Design Plans.  The ultimate design speed was 55 MPH.

 

The Consultant was responsible for:

 

1.         All studies, cost estimates and recommendations for preliminary alignment.

2.         All highway surveys.

3.         Establishing properties and property lines.

4.         Preparation of Grade and Drain Plans.

5.         Furnishing exhibits for and participating in public meetings.

6.         Geotechnical Investigations.

7.         Preparing drainage situations and drainage folders for the project.

8.         Contacting all property owners.

9.         Submitting data for Corps of Engineers permits.

10.              Advance situation structure design including one bridge and nine culverts.

11.              Right-of-Way Plans and related services including deed preparation for the project.

12.       Surface Design.

13.       A Maintenance of Traffic Plan.

 

The Department was responsible for:

 

1.         Photogrammetric work including electronic manuscripts and DTM data. 

2.         Traffic Projections.
