Project Description :

 

The project consisted of widening the roadway to six lanes with curb and gutter through an extensively commercial area with no additional right-of-way taking, and adding turn lanes to major intersections and commercial entrances.  Modifications to the existing storm water system and the addition of urban pavement drainage facilities to the existing system while resolving numerous utility conflicts was a major portion of this project.

 

The Consultant was responsible for:

 

1.      All surveys, including pavement elevations under heavy traffic.

2.      Present project scoping study/plans for project team decision.

3.      Preparing intersection capacity analyses. Five Intersections.

4.      All office work to provide grade, drain and surfacing plans for construction of the project.

5.      Preparing calculations and compiling drainage folders for the project, including storm sewers.

6.      Designing drainage structure extensions.

7.      Prepare Signal Plans.

8.      Provide Pavement Marking Details and

       Signing Plans.

The Department was responsible for:

 

1.    Traffic and accident data.

2.    Aerial Manuscripts and DTM.

3.    Geotechnical Investigations.

4.    Surface Design.

5.    Original road plans.
