Project Description:

 

The project consisted of surveys, intersection re-alignment studies, retaining wall and right-of-way studies, culvert extensions and maintenance of traffic studies for bridge replacement and roadway widening.  Preliminary Line and Grade plans were submitted.  A public meeting was held.  Phase I design was completed.

 

The Consultant was responsible for:

 

1.         All studies, cost estimates and recommendations

            for preliminary alignment.

2.         Topographic surveys, cross sections and plan   sheet development.

3.         Exhibits for the public meetings.

4.         Drainage Studies and Blueline Stream Report.

5.         Revised Intersection Geometric Details.

6.         Alternates for stage construction of a 5-lane bridge and removal of the existing 2-lane bridge located on the same alignment while maintaining two-way traffic.

7.         Providing proposed right-of-way to the

            Department for estimates.

 

The Department was responsible for:

 

1.         Providing traffic information.

2.         Conducting public meetings.

3.         Preparing right-of-way and utility

            estimates.

4.         Environmental Studies.

5.         Soils Investigations.
