Project Description:

 

The project consists of alternate alignment studies, cost estimates and recommendations for providing an overpass of J. R. Miller Boulevard over the CSX Railway, including all environmental studies and preparation of an environmental document.  Design must be considered to provide minimum damage to adjacent property.  Final Design Plans, Final Right-of-Way Plans and Final Right-of-Way Plans for Utilities will be initiated upon approval of the environmental document.

 

The Consultant is responsible for:

1.         All studies, cost estimates and recommendations for preliminary alignment.

2.         All environmental base studies and compiling the environmental document.

3.         Writing the Design Executive Summary.

4.         All field surveys.

5.         All necessary office work to provide grade, drain and surfacing plans.

6.         All structure design including one or two bridges.

7.         Right-of-Way Plans and Right-of-Way Plans for Utilities and related services including deed preparation for the project.

8.         Preparing drainage situations and

            calculations and compiling drainage

            folders for the project.

9.         Contacting all property owners.

10.        Furnishing exhibits for public meetings

            and hearings.

11.        Soils investigation.

 

The Department was responsible for:

1.         Traffic data.

2.         Surface design.
