Project Description: This project consisted of Phase II Design including all surveys, establishing a median width and grade on the new roadway compatible with the previously constructed lanes.  Alignment and grades were established to minimize impact on the adjacent property.  Safety slopes were a requirement.  The ultimate design speed was 60 M.P.H.

The Consultant was responsible for:

 

1.         Contacting all property owners.

2.         All highway surveys.

3.         Establishing properties and property lines.

4.         Preparation of Grade and Drain Plans.

5.         Geotechnical Investigations.  (By Sub-Consultant)

6.         Preparing drainage situation calculations and compiling drainage folders for the project.

7.         All median drainage.

8.         Right-of-Way Plans and Right-of-Way Plans

            for Utilities and related services including deed

            preparation for the project.

9.         Separate Surfacing Plans.

10.       A Maintenance of Traffic Plan.

 

The Department was responsible for:

 

1.         Photogrammetric work including manuscripts

            and cross sections.

2.         Pavement Design.

3.         Traffic Projections.

4.         Right-of-Way and Utility Cost Estimates.
