P. STREHL, P.E., PROJECT DESIGN ENGINEER Project Description: This project consisted
of inspecting and analyzing bridges on the off system. The inspection included photographs,
measuring size of components, span lengths, width, and determining the
condition of each bridge. The
inspection also included checking high water elevations, scour and
hydraulics. This field data was used
in the office to calculate the safe inventory and operating rating for each
bridge. A computer analysis using the
"BARS" program was required for the more complex bridges. Our part of this statewide survey included
all counties in District 1 and a portion of District 2. Over 800 bridges were inspected and rated
by Johnson, Depp & Quisenberry during this fast track project. The Consultant was responsible for: 1. All field surveys and inspections. 2. Photographs. 3. Structure
