ENGINEER Project
Description: This bridge was a replacement for an
old deteriorated and narrow concrete bridge.
It is made up of four spans of
50, 58', 58' and 50' for a total length of 223'. The framing
consists of seven rows of Type II
Prestressed Concrete I-Beams acting compositely with a cast-in-place concrete
deck. All piers and abutments
are founded on concrete friction piles. Seismic
forces controlled the design of the piers. The design was completed in 1980 and construction was completed
around 1985. The estimated cost of
the bridge is $480,000. The
Consultant was responsible for: 1. Providing
surveys. 2. All design and construction plans. 3. Specifications and cost estimates. The
Department was responsible for: 1. Geotechnical
work. 2. Advance
