Project Description : This project consisted of replacing and relocating an old county bridge that was narrow and structurally unsound.  The relocation of the bridge eliminated two 90 degree bends and provided a better intersection with KY Hwy. 1913.  The new bridge is a single 26 meter span on breastwall abutments.  The framing consists of 6 Type CB 840 x 1220 box beams with a composite concrete deck.  Abutments are founded on rock.  Construction was completed in the fall of 1996.  This project provided an aesthetically pleasing solution to an existing bridge that was hydraulically and structurally inadequate.  The cost of the bridge and approaches was $191,020.
