Project Description :

 

This project consisted of replacing deteriorating county bridges with modern concrete bridges.  A small amount of approach roadway work was required.  The County Engineer designated which bridges in the county system were to be replaced.

 

The Consultant was responsible for:

 

1.         All studies, cost estimates and recommendations for preliminary alignment.

2.         All necessary surveys and other field work.

3.         Determination of property ownership and establishment of property lines.

4.         Preliminary and final structure layouts.

5.         Preparation of Grade, Drain and Surfacing Plans.

6.         Right-of-Way Plans and Right-of-Way Plans for Utilities and Related Services including Deed Preparation for each project.

7.         Preparing Drainage Situations including all calculations and compiling drainage folders for each structure.

8.         Complete Preliminary and Final Structure Design.

9.         Maintenance of Traffic Plans.

10.       Contacting all property owners.

 

The County was responsible for:

 

1.         Traffic volumes and related data.

2.         Right-of-Way and Utility cost

            estimates.

3.         Environmental Studies.

4.         Structure Inventory Reports.
