Description: This project involved preparation of construction plans for the continuation of IL 336, a four-lane divided highway from and
including a diamond interchange at
IL 61 near Mendon north to a future interchange location of West Point
Road. The first construction section
will provide for grading 17.4 Kms
full-width and paving the
southbound lanes for 6.5 Kms
including construction of dual bridges
over Bear Creek. Later construction
sections will include the interchange
and completing the paving, grading and
landscaping. The Consultant was responsible for Design Plans and Surveys
including: 1. Contacting all property owners. 2. All
surveys including centerline location, drainage and section
corner locations. 3. All office work to provide grade, drain and surfacing plans for
construction of the project, including maintenance
of traffic details and detours, temporary drainage and staged drainage
structure construction, signing plans, plans for twenty-nine crossroads and approaches. 4. Right-of-Way
plans, plats and deed descriptions as well as establishing existing property lines and ROW. 5. Preparing drainage situation drawings and calculations and compiling drainage folders for the
project. 6. Designing crossroad structure over
the freeway at the interchange and drainage
structures. The Department was responsible for
providing: 1. Design
Location and Environmental Studies. 2. Aerial
manuscripts and digitized cross sections. 3. Geotechnical
investigations. 4. Surface
designs. 5. Title Commitments and available
existing ROW plans. 6. Sign
locations. |
