Project Description:

 

The project consisted of Phase II Design of five bridge replacements including roadway approaches.  Each existing bridge was over a stream and required total replacement.  Stage construction was required to maintain traffic.  Two projects were on Ill. Hwy. 94, two on U.S. Hwy. 24 and one on 12th Street in Quincy.

 

 

The Consultant was responsible for:

 

1.         All studies, cost estimates and recommendation for type of bridge.

2.         All necessary surveys and other field work.  (Some field notes were provided by IDOT.)

3.         Determination of property ownership and establishment of property lines.

4.         Preliminary and final structure layouts.

5.         A Structure Report and TS & L Plan.

6.         Preparation of Grade, Drain and Surfacing Plans.

7.         Complete Preliminary and Final Structure Design.

8.         Maintenance of Traffic Plans.

 

 

The Department was responsible for:

 

1.         Traffic volumes and related data.

2.         Right-of-Way and Utility Cost Estimates.

3.         Environmental Studies.

4.         Geotechnical Investigations.

5.         Project Report.
