Project Description:

 

This project involved the rehabilitation and widening of the twin eleven span bridges and approaches for the structures.  Substructure units were widened on both sides.  The existing deck was replaced and new girders added. Existing girders were repaired and retrofitted for fatigue.  The design was completed in 1992.  Construction is currently underway.  Estimated construction cost $7,500,000.

 

The Consultant was responsible for:

1.         Providing surveys.

2.         All design and construction plans for the roadway approaches and the structures.

3.         Specifications and cost estimates.

 

 

The Illinois Department of Transportation was responsible for:

1.         An approved T.S. & L. Plan.

2.         Geotechnical work.
