ENGINEER Project
Description: This project involved deck replacement for a 3-span bridge using existing girders and substructure
units. The bridge was located in a curved alignment. The work also consisted of replacing all bearings and raising the
bridge to accommodate a new rate of superelevation across the
bridge. The design was completed in
1992. Construction is scheduled to
begin in fall of 1992. Estimated
construction cost $500,000. The
Consultant was responsible for: 1. Providing
surveys. 2. Complete
Design and Details for Construction
Plans for the roadway approaches
and the structure. 3. Specifications and Cost Estimates. The
Illinois Department of Transportation provided: 1. Approved
T.S. & L. Plans. 2. All
geotechnical work. |
